As an absolute neophyte diving headfirst into the world of office interior design and office furniture, it seemed at first glance it was wildly vast, intimidatingly complex, yet plentiful in variety and opportunity. Here are three things a newcomer like me, learned within the first 30 days in the business.

1) Trust the Office Design Experts

The world of office interior design can seem dauntingly complicated to the uninitiated. The first time I picked up a catalog of office furniture, that was thicker than a New York City phone book, it felt like there was no way anyone can ever possibly learn all of this! To sum it all up, as a newcomer to the world of interior design and office furniture, I can personally attest to the fact that it can seem like an impossible task to learn everything there is to know. However, whether you’re a client looking for a new office space and are, or a person just getting started working with clients within the industry, the three lessons above should serve you well. The most important lesson of my first take on office interior design is this: at the end of the day, everyone wants to have a great place to work and being comfortable at work makes people more productive. Unless someone steals your chair… that’s a matter you shouldn’t take sitting down.
